Parents Attention:

A FIBRACELL® REED FROM MIRI
is a great advantage for your child who is demonstrating musical talent.

Learning to play an instrument is difficult enough. Why not give the student the Fibracell advantage?!

We have heard some parents comment, "I know Fibracell reeds sound great when played by professionals, but my child is just a beginner, he/she doesn't need an expensive reed like Fibracell." Wrong! First of all, Fibracell is less expensive to use because it out-lasts a cane reed six to one, and there are no unplayable reeds. Secondly, the number-one reason that beginning students give up woodwind instruments is due to reed related problems. They become frustrated attempting to develop an embouchure while adjusting to inconsistent cane reeds. Typically, beginning and intermediate students are not ready to learn the art of filing, scraping, trimming or even maintaining a reed. Furthermore, it is not necessary, just give them one that works,
Fibracell!

Hygiene

As a music teacher, the inventor of Fibracell has often taken reeds off students' instruments that were badly warped and so unsightly as to make him cringe. Many of these reeds had turned green or black and, in some cases, had to be chipped from the mouthpiece. Imagine the germs that have been absorbed into the piece of cane, after all, it is porous. Students using cane reed while suffering from a cold could re-infect themselves if they continued to use the same reed. On the other-hand, Fibracell reeds are made from a closed cell material which does not absorb moisture! Therefore, Fibracell reeds can be sanitized with sterisol spray, just as you would a mouthpiece.
