Dear Music Educator,

I’d like to introduce you to a new breakthrough in reed technology. The Fibracell synthetic reed is like no other reed I’ve used before (including cane). As a classical saxophonist, the repertoire requires me to play all dynamics, all ranges (including the altissimo register) and many different articulations. The Fibracell reed lets me meet these demands with a greater ease than cane ever allowed. Additionally, the Fibracell is an "unprepared" reed (no soaking is needed prior to performance) as well as an almost unbelievably long-lasting reed. Cane reeds commonly lasted for two or three days, whereas the Fibracell reeds last at least a month (imagine spending your time working on music instead of battling with reeds!). I have played Fibracell reeds exclusively for three years and have not had a desire to go back to cane at any time. You owe it to yourself to try these new reeds and to remove the single most troublesome performance variable in your saxophone and clarinet sections.

Sincerely,

John Vana
